3DIcon Responds to a Solicitation from Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office (CTTSO)

3DIcon last week submitted a response to the Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office (CTTSO) annual solicitation seeking new project ideas. The response described how its 3D volumetric display technology could enhance training and aid in the visualization and analysis of data used during critical decision-making. The submitted response included a discussion of the technical approach based on 3DIcon’s CSpace®, a two phase project that would deliver a 1 cubic foot scale, monochrome display, and the operational and performance capabilities expected from the delivered display. The 30-month project was estimated to cost $1.75M. 3DIcon believes its technology would be a major asset in regards to cyber data advanced analytics, security screening, and surveillance/tactical support. If 3DIcon passes this first phase of project evaluation, the company will be requested to submit a more detailed discussion of the project.  The mission of CTTSO is to identify and develop leading technologies to combat terrorism and non-traditional adversaries, and to deliver these capabilities to DoD components and interagency partners through rapid research and development, advanced studies, and technical innovation. – Doug Freitag, VP of Technology and Business Development
